I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant and believe me, not much fits anymore. I have been loving is my Bijou dress from Dôen which has accommodated my growing bump so nicely. I ordered this dress to my hotel room when I visited New York City and fell in love immediately (see my video try-on here). The fabric is amazing and what makes it so comfortable and wearable is the smocked-elastic bodice. Smocking is an embroidery technique made with elastic, used to gather fabric so that it can stretch. It’s a centuries-old technique but is now synonymous with summer dresses which I am all about this season. The stretch allows for my baby belly but this dress will definitely work after pregnancy when I have my waist back! I think this is a summer staple so I’ve rounded up some gorgeous smocked dresses below.
