3 Accessories You’ll Love this Summer

As my dress collection and postpartum summer wardrobe becomes complete I’m looking towards accessories to keep everything updated and fresh for the whole season. My three favourite accessories for the summer are: red, white-rimmed sunglasses, and bold gold jewelry.

There’s something so fresh about red in the spring and summer after a dull winter. I think we all crave something different and bright for a new season and a red earring definitely hits the mark. Wearing a bold earring will also transition your neutral winter basics into spring and summer perfectly.

White-rimmed Sunglasses

White-rimmed sunglasses are a classic but there’s something about pairing them with denim and red this year that adds a modern twist. White sunglasses were number one on my list so I was really happy to find these ones from Urban Outfitters. Technically they’re an off-white but I think that works better for my skin-tone and prevents the bold accessory from over-powering any outfit.

Bold Gold

One of my favourite things to wear in the evenings is shimmery metallic. I have a few dresses that work for date night but this year I would love to add some beautiful gold accessories to dress up a basic black blouse and cut-offs. Picture sitting on a light-trimmed patio at night after a day at the beach with your hair tied back, newly tanned, wearing a black dress shirt, and some gold accessories glittering while you enjoy a drink with loved-ones. Simple but chic!
