I recently tagged along with my husband on his work trip to PARIS. I love this city and I’m so lucky that this was my third time visiting. My favourite thing to do is walk around by myself, take in the sights, and go shopping. As part of my sartorial research I scoured instagram looking at stylish French women’s outfits, trying to figure out the best places to shop. I have some great stores to share with you!

Check out my Paris Vlog here!

    Merci!

Merci is a concept store with stock that is always changing. They carry clothing, gifts, stationery, and home goods and have a few cafes and a restaurant attached to the building. I visited this pretty store last time I was in Paris, so I was ready to be inspired by them again. To mark the store’s 10 year anniversary, they asked designers and brands they’ve worked with for years to share their vision of femininity by creating a piece that epitomizes: “THE DRESS”. This new exhibition included limited edition dresses from dozens of designers (seen here in my vlog).

Wes and I just bought a cottage so I had a great time browsing their gorgeous home selection. They have a showroom layout that displays their furniture and table settings which were all gorgeous. I was inspired by all the rich texture and colour they integrated into their vignettes. I would love to integrate the pops of cheerful pink, and blue, the airy mesh and wicker shades into our cottage decor.

    Price Point: 3- 500 Euro

    Sézane

A trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Sézane apartment! I show more footage in my vlog here but it’s one of my favourite boutiques. The boutique is large and sectioned off into shoes and purses, a sweater bar, home decor and the season’s latest items. One of my favourite touches is the free refreshments found immediately inside the door.

Among other purchases (view my haul here) I indulged in a new purse when I visited which is the perfect place to purchase as you can get your bag embossed for free! This is the only Sézane location to offer this service so choose up to five characters (including hearts) to personalize your bag.

    Price Point: 55- 460 Euro

    Des Petits Hauts

Des Petits Hauts is for that grown up girl who still likes unicorns and glitter. Whimsy sparkles at you from every corner of this beautiful shop. Their popular items include fuzzy knits complete with sequins or their trademark charm and whimsical prints. When I visited the print of the moment was a sweet clementine. Their prints are placed on classic styles-shirts and blouses- that will earn you cool points with any children you know but also work for the office. The quality of their garments is what makes them popular. Although a sweater costs over $200 the fabric choice, style, and quality of construction are apparent.

    Price Point: 95-345 Euro

Tip: Check out the basement of the boutique for a good deal and some beautiful decor inspiration.

    Saaj

Saaj is another brand I noticed French women wearing. The brand is known for their pretty babydoll styles and feminine details like scallops and lace. I got a really soft mustard top with a scallop back opening there that worked perfectly over my baby belly.

The store was small and acted as more of a pick-up point with orders lining the floor but it was lovely to see each romantic style in person!

    Price Point: 45 – 155 Euro

    Bonton

I first heard about Bonton when Sézane did a kids capsule with them. This concept store features home goods, accessories, stationery, toys, and clothing from baby up to twelve years old. Their items are chic and expensive but not immune from sales. They also had fun accessories like plastic monogram mugs and non-toxic nail polish making it a great place to look for gifts.

The shop is large with two floors. The first floor featured clothing and gifts with more gift ideas the second floor along with their home goods section. They have a fun tv-viewing lounge downstairs along with books making this great place to shop with your children.

    Price Point: 8 – 500 Euro

    Petit Bateau

Petit Bateau came into my life by way of a baby bodysuit. My friend who lives in Paris gifted me what is now my favourite outfit to dress babies in (seen in my haul video here). This adorable kids clothing store also sells great basics for women and men.

Petit Bateau sells good quality basics but also interesting pretty and handsome items that emphasize classic stripes, colours and floral prints versus the tv character. This is a great place to outfit your children or look for a gift for a loved one.
