We all know the classics, the pieces that transcend time, an item that you see in a vintage photo that could work today. A trench coat, the camel coat, the pea coat… I love a good classic but sometimes it doesn’t feel quite right. A jean jacket is so appealing because they’re so popular! You can easily go into a mall and find at least 7 options but I’ve never purchased the classic short/waist-grazing jean jacket because I wouldn’t wear it. The oversized jean jacket caught my attention and I bought one but haven’t worn it as much as I thought I would so without further ado, I introduce my classic with a twist- the long shearling denim coat. The fabric, shearling, is itself a classic. A shearling jacket is synonymous with tough and stylish leading men and women like Sylvester Stallone in Rocky IV, Marlon Brando, and Francoise Hardy.  Now that the denim jacket has married the long shearling coat I think we will live happily ever after together.
