For this fall transitional outfit I'm wearing the Doen Lisette dress. It's a floral mini dress with a peter pan collar. I have it paired with black boots and a round bag and glasses for a retro look | Kait Bos Blog

This mini makes me think of a doll’s dress that has been transformed for a more fun and retro look. The Peter Pan collar borrowed from the 60s is sweetened with lace and floral. We’ve seen this statement collar around for a few seasons now and I love seeing the transformation of shape and size on blouses and dresses alike. The sleeves of this dress are pure drama with the bold puff shoulder, long length and dramatic cuff circumference. Wearing mini dresses was my go-to uniform in the summer. I kept cool in the short length and voluminous silhouette and felt like I put a lot of effort into my outfit when it was just one garment. In the Fall I look forward to layering this mini dress and adding boots to make it feel fresh throughout the season. Below you will find some lovely retro pieces with peter pan collars including sweet dresses, the less dramatic blouse, and the super cool jacket. Happy shopping!
