There’s a funny story behind this photoshoot that I have to tell you….

My sister-in-law, Jenna, does my photos and I explained to her the concept behind this look: it’s a morning-after-late-night-out-lazy-Sunday-brunch-with-friends-which-you-are-running-late-for-so-you-throw-on-the-closest-items-to-you (short and simple right?). So we decided a “cute pastry” would add to this look (scroll down for cute pastry pic). We went into a local bakery with $1.25 to our names because my purse pictured is a prop and didn’t have my wallet. We picked out this pastry and assumed it was some sort of coconut or lemon flavour but the server warned us it was a BEAN TART. Pardon? “It’s made of beans… like flava beans.” she said… Well okay…. it looks cute and we have no money so let’s get it.

I let Jenna have the honour of eating the tart at the end, as it was her $1.25 after all, and it was delicious! We are still wondering if it is in fact a bean tart or the server mixed up which pastry was actually made of beans… I should’ve parked myself at the bakery to watch someone unexpectedly eat a bean tart…or steal the recipe!

Also lovingly referred to as a “bear costume” by my husband in our vlog here, my jacket is so comfy and voluminous I thought it added a cozy flair to this super comfy and versatile dress.
