Dôen is a brands that makes you feel special. The design details, colour, fabrics and styles come together to emit a feeling of a vintage California heaven where everything is comfortable, beautiful and wearable around children.

They just released their summer collection and along with taking up 1/3rd of my closet I have my eyes on the pieces below.

In the Mail

Rosebay Top 

I’m officially addicted to Dôen’s colour, “pond” owning the Albertine and now the Rosebay which is currently in the mail. It also comes in 3 other equally dreamy and vintage-inspired colours: Frappe, Wheat, & Salt.

Pierre Dress in China Blue Mini Earl Floral

I gasped out loud when I saw this dress! And I wasn’t the only one as there is only size small left for pre-order. The Pierre dress stands out from the others as being the only true sleeveless dress in the collection. This halter style dress is simply sweet with the tiny ruffle and the rounded hemline. The length of the dress is 48″ which makes it the perfect midi summer dress. It also comes with a belt of the same fabric to change the entire look.I welcome the retro vibe and perfect neckline. I plan on living in this dress this summer!

The New Collection

Almost every piece in this collection is a print! With the exception of the Peony & Piper dresses which are a classic white or “salt”.

My favourite prints are the China Blue Mini Earl Floral (see “Pierre”), the Salt Summer Floral (see “Vetiver”)

Vetiver Dress in Salt Summer Floral

We all love the Sol dress and the Vetiver feels like her cool little sister with this precious print. The Sol and Vetiver share the same neckline, waistline and sleeve but the Vetiver has the fun halter strings to make it a little bit more boho. So playful and pretty it’s nice to have a different variation of the gorgeous Sol!

Lavande Dress in Salt Summer Floral

This dress is what dreams are made of! The Salt Summer Floral is one of my favourite prints of the collection and the Lavande displays the print beautifully. The ruffle sleeves and neck make this so feminine and the empire waist makes it effortless.

Jeanette Top

Classic but interesting. Everyone loves a plaid and this one is subtle, pretty and familiar. The ruffle on the neck and how they style it- unbuttoned- that transforms this into a modern and romantic piece that you can wear to work or with jeans like the model.

Loire Dress

This is another dress that allows the print to shine. It’s simple design is anything but with how it wraps around the body in an unassuming and elegant way. You can credit this to the bias cut they’ve used before on the sexy Iris. I love everything down to the subtle sweet detail on the sleeve- the small ruffle. This is probably one of the most elegant cotton dresses you will find this summer.

Fleur Top in Golden Mini Earl Floral

We are woken up from our muted vintage dreamland to smile at this pretty pretty blouse. This yellow print boasts the same name as it’s blue and blush sister and we also get to see it in the Vetiver dress here. What a pretty colour to brighten your day!

The Carnation in Salt Summer Floral

The Carnation is officially a classic when it’s brought back season after season- don’t we all love this dress? I own it in the Black Anemone floral which you can see a video of here. This dress has everything. It’s flattering, vintage-influenced, comfortable, versatile (see button neckline and tie). You won’t go wrong with this classic dress.
