Following trends can be really overwhelming- they change so quickly and every store seems to have different ones. After much research and shopping (thank me later) I have narrowed the list down to five great fall trends. An easy way to update your closet is to pick a couple on-trend pieces to mix in with your wardrobe. Choose the items below that you’re attracted to for an easy fall refresh!
Checked/Plaid/houndstooth blazers are literally everywhere. What’s lovely about this trend is it falls into the “classic” category and is ageless. Everyone from 20 year olds to 70 year olds can rock this look. If you would like to test it out try a scarf!

Yes, “red” can be a trend. One way to tell a colour is on trend is when it makes up a large section of a store (and isn’t black or white), and it leaks into accessories that you don’t normally see in that colour ie. the red boots above. ALSO CAN WE TAKE A SECOND TO TALK ABOUT THIS DRESS? This is one dress. The picture on the left shows the “slip” part and it comes with a “jacket” that buttons up all the way. This is such a great piece and will work perfectly for spring styled as above or pair it with some over the knee boots for fall.

This type of skirt is so pretty and can easily work for both work and play. Pair with a classic blouse for work or a fun message tee and bomber jacket for play. The wrap style is also super flattering and is a great update to otherwise boring office wear.

Yes, a sock boot. This trend sounds so strange but trust me, is a super flattering new way to wear an ankle boot. Whether you are looking for a new short boot for the fall or you want something flattering that works with dresses and won’t take 10 minutes to put on (I’m talking about you gorgeous Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boot) this boot is for you.
