    My Fall Wishlist

In an effort to stay organized for my fall wardrobe I’ve started creating a visual wish list! I’m not a good spur of the moment decision maker, (for example I just purchased the Primrose Dress from Dôen which originally came out in the spring *update it didn’t work out. I have a IGTV video on the Primrose here) so doing research is important for making good decisions. This is largely why I started my Youtube channel – for my fellow researchers! This above collage is an unedited look at things I think are beautiful from my favourite brands. I would really love a feminine plaid top (I’m Canadian so plaid is part of our uniform) so I have that included but I’ll definitely edit it down to 1 before I purchase.

Having a visual wish list helps:

    • create cohesion so that my wardrobe will be versatile
    • create transitional outfits where I add my favourite summer items so I can figure out how to wear them into the colder months
    • helps me compare items to see which I like more or don’t need
    • assign priority keeping season, budget, and needs in mind
    • create outfit ideas
    • keep new trends in mind that I want to participate in
    • separate the item into it’s category, ex. dreamy black velvet mary janes from Dôen = mary janes, so I can search for alternatives that are more affordable
    • keep to a plan versus spur of the moment decisions

I like starting starting by brand versus item because I can guarantee: quality, detail, and customer service. Once I find a brand I love I’m very loyal to them. I also know the brands I love support many projects and charities and I love to be a part of their missions.

    What I’ve Purchased so Far

    Doen

One morning I woke up at 4am with my sweet toddler and I accidentally came across Dôen’s Flash Sale they were about to announce (somehow my daughter knew!) I had my pick of the sale and purchased the Luca top, Bee Sweater, and Mary Jane shoes. I have yet to receive these items and I hope I love the Mary Jane colour (as you can see I’ve leaned toward a very pink fall) so we will see!

    Sézane

Today Sézane released their Pre-fall collection and it’s gorgeous! I blog about it here but so far I’ve bought two items. As I’ve grown my boot collection I’ve stuck with mainly neutral classics so this is the first time I’ve branched out to buy something different and fun! I found that my visual look book helped me decide that the Lea Boot in Sienna Studs will work with almost everything I have and have planned.
