A new trend I see emerging is nightgowns doubling as daywear and beachwear. Dôen does this well with a few different nightgowns and more on the way for Summer. Sleepwear for everyday also makes up the business model for brands like Lake Pajamas and Sleeper and include classic pajama sets and dresses. This is a really feminine and vintage take on casual wear and will work for my lifestyle when I have my 3rd baby in the summer. I just splurged on this gorgeous linen Sleeper dress from Net-a-Porter and I can’t wait to live in it for the next couple months.
When Dôen announced their partnership with Net-a-Porter I was excited to have another retailer to buy my favourite brand from. I mostly thought it would be another place check for a dress or size that ShopDoen.com didn’t have but what an AMAZING surprise to see my favourite styles come back and some with brand new fabric! The Georgia and Piper reemerge through the luxury retailer and we see our favourites: the Rose Top, and Sol and Jasmine dresses rejuvenated in new fabrics. In an upcoming vlog I discuss volume in clothing. I’ve been really interested in bold silhouettes and high contrast when dressing which started with my love for Cecilie Bahnsen and blogger Brittany Bathgate. I’m currently experimenting with where art meets style and the idea of whether a garment is “flattering” being an important goal. I would love to hear what you think!
