Mini dresses aren’t usually on my shopping list. I’ve always admired the style and length but deemed them too short to wear around my kids and left for those with nicer legs. While it’s true that they’re not the most practical dresses to wear around toddlers I decided to be nicer to myself when it came to what was “flattering”. I carry my weight in my legs but they have been pretty muscular when in good shape and I’ve always been proud of how strong they are and happy that I’m injury free from years of playing soccer. Now, 6 weeks postpartum, I’m feeling pretty weak and unsure of my body as it recuperates from housing my lovely boy for 9 months. I’ll get strong again but in the meantime I’m going to let myself enjoy some pretty dresses that keep me cool.
