I’m not sure when my floral obsession began but flowers are one of those things that brings me joy. I’m actually a terrible gardener and can barely keep a plant alive but flowers in faux form are in every corner of my home. My floral obsession went a step further when I met my husband’s family who make quilts. I’ve received so many beautiful quilts as gifts the past couple of years. I also love to shop for them in vintage stores so I have a large collection. The time and effort it takes to make these blankets is amazing to me. Each one is made with care. I was thinking about why I love quilts so much and it’s the expert mixing of print and colour.

Florals mixed together are playful, modest, and imperfect. Daisies become romantic when placed next to roses. Tulips and daffodils remind us of spring, and even poppies can get along with lilies when they are stitched into each other.
