One of my favourite times of year has come around again: Sézane Archive time! The Sézane Archives are a sale the brand throws twice a year featuring stock from over a year ago. This usually features items Sézane released from as recent as 7 months ago up to a year ago. Currently we are in Winter 2019 buying from their Winter 2018 collection. I’ve purchased from this sale before and can assure there is nothing wrong with these items, they’re not sample size or in poor condition, but because Sézane doesn’t have regular clearance sales this is their way of clearing older stock.
The discount for the sale range from 10% – 45% with the biggest discounts being in the higher priced items like jackets/coats, bags and shoes.
I was ECSTATIC to find the Ninon blouse in Raspberry which I already own in Ecru (pictured above). This blouse was my first purchase from Sézane and I can easily call it my favourite piece from them. It was over a year ago where I tried on the ecru version in their New York boutique after my size wasn’t available in red. I’m so happy to be able to add this to my wardrobe!
I don’t buy a lot of casual clothing (I have maybe one hoodie) but after purchasing Sézane’s “bonjour madame” sweatshirt I fell in love with their casual knits. This “bon soir” sweatshirt which means, “good night” will definitely be a favourite to throw on a chilly evening.
The Mike jacket is also an item that’s been haunting me and was on my list for months for the archives. I think the black and white are such classic colours, a little chanel-esque, and the wool blend will keep this mama-to-be’s baby bump nice and warm.
Another item that I loved on my visit to Sezane’s New York Apartment is the Claude bag in suede with gold studs. I ultimately went with their classic chocolate version months later but I’m so happy that I will own a black one. I also think it will look amazing with my black and white Mike Jacket.
Items that were in and out of my bag but ultimately I couldn’t buy (we all have budgets!) were the Cassie, Cooper sweaters, the Gaby bag, and the Ariel dress.
This week’s sale is only part 1 of 2 so don’t worry if you missed out today! You’ll have another chance next Wednesday at 10am.
