My mom said I was a never a good shopper when I was younger because practicality went out the window in favour of wearing what I really loved. She would argue that I didn’t have enough good basics to pair with something that was really different (ie. my low-rise striped flared pants with a built-in belt of the same fabric) and that I should generally try and stick to basics. As a teenager you can imagine that I did my own thing and those striped pair of pants were my favourite and most-worn item! Today I still love to wear something that would stand out but I also have learned to appreciate my basics.

When I heard of the famous Sézane Gaspard Sweater, a semi boat-neck knit cardigan that can be worn with the white buttons in the back or front I was pretty underwhelmed. I soon learned people collect these and would show their Gaspard sweater pile with every colour Sézane has ever released. I was intrigued so I ordered the pretty Gaspard nude colour and waited to see what all the fuss was about. I received the sweater and instantly fell in love with it when I tried it on. The flattering and classic fit won me over along with the soft soft fabric and the fact that it can be worn with anything, even plaid pants! I love my Gaspard so much and it’s definitely in my weekly rotation.
