    It’s the first week of July and Sézane is wasting no time releasing their monthly capsule. This time they reveal that it’s their “last summer capsule”. Their newsletter stated we will see the Fall Collection in 61 days which has a release date for early September and we are given a sneak peek into the photoshoot here. 

    Below I’ve rounded up the main trends we see from the July lookbook and have my shopping tips as usual at the very bottom of the post.

    The Look book is called, “Summer of Love” and Sézane is going with a fun 60s theme with location, the hair, the colours of this look book. We see dark orange furniture and colours, wood-panelled walls, shag rugs and a vintage Jaguar. This is a fresh look for Sézane considering their last look books were either beach towns or the desert.

    Rainbow

    I’ve blogged about this mini trend in May and I’m loving Sézane’s version! We see rainbow hues in the Cyrille top, it’s dress form: The Cassandra. There’s also the new Libero T-shirt AND a beach bag that is free with purchases over $100.

    Sézane pair up with My Travel Dreams again for a “Bon Voyage” tshirt. They’ve previously collaborated on the Mother’s Day capsule on T-shirts and a pouch. This T-shirt will be coming soon in a couple weeks.

    Refresh, Re-stock, Re-style

    They re-styled a lot of their previous summer items: The Cleo blouse, the always sold out Amber dress, Alix Top, Béa Blouse, June pants, Zoe dress, Abby blouse, Dolores top, and the Gabriela dress.  I love seeing these items re-styled in lookbooks because there’s always a pretty detail that I’ve missed seeing. The scallop eyelet of the Black Béa blouse for example is so pretty. We’ve seen this top for a couple months (I own the dress version and bought the ecru top because I love this style so much) but the details of each colour, including the black, are all so interesting and pretty.

    Dora

    I’m a big fan of Sézane’s knitwear. It’s always beautiful and always good quality. The Dora Jumper is a great buy for this season as it can easily take you into the cooler summer/early fall weather.

    The Cyrille

    I really love the muted rainbow pattern Sézane came out with! I think the Cyrille top wears it well and is just the right about of pattern to make it fun but not overwhelming or costume-y. The Cyrille top comes in NINE other colours and patterns and this is definitely my favourite.

    Alina

    The Alina is going to come in ecru and navy and looks sweet. Sézane has many pretty white summer tops and this one with the ties and straight neck is definitely one of the prettiest.

    Albertina Dress

    This dress is so beautiful. Sézane isn’t releasing too many dresses this last capsule but the few new ones are very pretty. The Albertina dress also comes in black and red and looks like it will be a pretty silk dress.

    The Dulce Dress

    Another pretty red dress from Sézane! Their low-back and backless dresses are always a bit hit and this one looks like it will sell out quickly. I love how understated, sexy but still sophisticated these dresses are.

     THE SEASHELL EARRINGS

    Not one listing contains these seashell costume earrings. After purchasing the gorgeous Louise earrings (see my Sézane Accessory Lookbook video) I cannot wait to learn more about these!

    Tips for Shopping Sézane Capsules and New Releases

    1. BE QUICK. Things sell out extremely fast so add what you want to your cart quickly. If there is something particular you have your eye on search for it rather than hunting for it in the section.
    2. Add a few sizes to your cart Like many retailers, Sézane manufactures their clothing at a few different factories. With that in mind and considering different fabric, items are going to fit differently. I’m a size 36 french but I have gone up to a 38 and gone down to a 34 if Sézane recommends it. You can find this recommendation under the sizing tab on the product page. Don’t forget to see if your favourites from the Archive sale are available again. Along with new releases Sézane puts up returns on Wednesday mornings. I would recommend adding a few sizes to your cart and continue shopping then come back and read the size recommendations.
    3. Your shopping cart has a 20 minute timer. When you add an item to your cart it is reserved for 20 minutes- there’s a timer when you look at your entire cart. That being said, the timer restarts every item you add an item to your cart. So theoretically if you add something every 20 minutes you can shop all day. However if you remove the later-added items your clock goes down to when you added the previous. Once you decide to process your order you have a new timer with 15 minutes to check out.
    4. “In Someone’s Basket” means there’s still a chance you can grab the item. Because of the timer items can go back for sale online.
    5. Keep checking back. Sézane allows you to cancel your order within 1 hour of purchasing and I have done this a few times. Making quick decisions can be difficult!
