My sweet boy is finally here! We are so excited to finally meet him and I’m so excited to not be pregnant anymore (can I get an amen!?). Reflecting on my pregnancy wardrobe I wanted to write a post featuring my top 10 most worn for anyone looking for comfortable easy pieces or any moms-to-be. Everything is non-maternity so it will work for everyone.
My most worn outfit has got to be this pretty Paloma dress from Christy Dawn. The California brand manufactures the same dozens of styles in deadstock fabric and I was lucky enough to score this cotton beauty second hand through Noihsaf Bazaar on Instagram. The long sleeves worked in winter layered with a jacket, leggings, boots and the light cotton fabric works so perfectly for spring and summer. The mid-length makes it unfussy and kid-friendly. The neckline doesn’t allow this dress to be truly breastfeeding friendly so I won’t wear it as often now but it kept me very cozy through the uncomfortable parts of pregnancy.

I’m a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl so I usually avoid any type of casual wear including leggings but these pants are one of my favourite. So much so that I bought two of them. I have them in a size medium which is bigger than I would normally wear in this style but it worked perfectly over my baby bump until the end. They’re good quality and have great pockets for tucking hair clips, unicorns, and whatever else my kids require me to hold on to.
The following two pairs of shoes are worth mentioning because I wore them at the end of my pregnancy when my feet were the most swollen. My feet barely “grew” with my first child but have definitely changed in size with my third and these shoes got me through it.
The Everlane day flat is addicting. It is so easy to put on, flattering with every outfit and comfortable. I got the day flats last year while in NYC and have worn them non-stop. I love Everlane’s leather shoes a lot as they’ve proved their quality to me time and time again. These come in 16 colours so you will easily find a version you love.
These sandals are another pair I cannot get enough of. I got my pair 3 summers ago so they’ve lasted far longer than I would expect so the cost per wear is pennies. They are instantly comfortable I love the heel support/strap which helps the shoe stay on while driving/going down stairs/etc.
I have a full blog post with this dress here and featured it in my recent favourites video so you can bet you’ll find it here in my most worn post! I love everything about this dress from it’s elastic sleeves, flattering wrap style, pockets (!) and easy poplin cotton fabric. It dries perfectly after being hung up making it an easy addition to my kid-friendly wardrobe. It’s currently sold out online so check your local store but an identical version is here and check out this dress and this one.
This is another sweater that I wore well into my second trimester because of it’s flattering length. The gaspard knit is a Sézane classic and is released every year. It’s cozy fabric and versatility (you can wear it buttons front or back) make it a must-have. I cannot wait to collect more of this sweater.
This is a basic I’ve had for years. One of the maternity looks you’ll see on pinterest is a blazer or jacket paired over dresses and t-shirts and jeans. It’s a classic look, flattering, and you can really make it your own. I love pairing my long jean jacket with dresses for spring and while there’s a chill in the air. I live in a very casual city so I find this pairing works to dress down some of my fancier dresses so I don’t feel overdressed.
I actually got this top later in my pregnancy but it quickly became my uniform when worn with the madewell pants above. I also got this top in both prints because I love it so much and I find a floral print is really kid friendly ie. I’ve eaten strawberries with them in this top. The cotton poplin fabric is perfect for spring and summer and the elastic sleeves are comfortable. The cut of this blouse is so flattering that it looks good untucked on me and tucked in as seen on the model here. I also talk about this top and show it worn at 37 weeks in my recent favourites video here.
This top was another second-hand score and it surprised me when I started wearing it which is the story for a lot of my Dôen pieces. When I’ve been pregnant, I found details near my face really flattering to distract from the beginning awkward bump phases and the velvet details, ties, and slightly ruffled collar are perfect for that. I found the length (25″ on size small) worked perfectly until well into my third trimester.
I also mention this nightgown in my favourites video and with good reason. It’s soooo incredibly nice and may be my favourite thing to wear right now. The soft cotton fabric is a dream to have against my skin and I love the length of this dress- it’s long enough to stay down while sleeping. The elastic neck is embroidered with a pretty design and can be worn off the shoulder for a daytime look or a sexy evening in. It took a couple great reviews from close friends and some time for me to finally purchase this nightgown and I wish I did it sooner! It’s a dream!
