What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is my Dôen Meadow dress. It's a perfect classic summer dress made of poplin and with pockets! The puff sleeve is my favourite feature.

    | Dôen Meadow Dress

Meadow! We woke up to a very humid day and I immediately reached for this @shopdoen poplin cotton dress… again. This is my first repeat dress on this page so I thought I’d show you how I’m styling it to wear outside and I included an unedited picture of the pattern and fabric. This hat is from @aritzia and I’ve been wearing it since spring. It’s really comfortable and I love the tie as a design detail and it also stops it from blowing away. I love the structure and style of this hat and would love to find a straw version.

Adrian! The basket bag! This basket bag is from @shopdoen and I adore it. None of my bags are getting much use these days because we don’t go anywhere but when we do I’ve been packing this one. I was first attracted to this bag because of the square shape and unique way it folds down to close. Leaving the house is always so fast so I end up literally throwing what I need into it. I love that it has structure and stays open so I can triple check that I have everything and find what I have easily. The bag is handmade by artisans in Kenya and I always marvel that someone made this by hand. I would love to see how they do it!

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is my Innika Choo Meg Nettick dress in Army! This is truly one of my favourite summer dresses.

    | Innika Choo Meg Nettick Dress

Meg Nettick! It was one of those days where I couldn’t figure out what to wear. Nothing felt right and I needed to find the right fashionable armour to get through this already weird day. After many changes I finally settled on this dress. My goal was to feel comfortable and wear something that wasn’t fussy but I also wanted to feel put together. I have already posted this dress in pink this month and I just adore it. There’s a ton of beautiful design details in it from the pleated shoulder to the embroidered floral fabric, the scallop hem and the tie details. With all of the beauty in this dress you would think it would feel fussy or too precious to wear everyday but somehow it’s so easy. I think this is what Innika Choo is best at: making something that’s absolutely stunning and also incredibly easy to wear. I’m 5’3” so the length of this is perfect. It’s short enough so it doesn’t get in my way but long enough so I feel comfortable changing a diaper on the floor. The sleeves are also a great length, I never have to roll them up. The ruffled skirt is one of my favourite parts and feels very flirty and fun!

It’s a very versatile style that has a tie option and you’re able to change the look by styling the neck tied closed or left open. I choose to wear it untied like a tunic for a more casual and comfortable look but I find it very flattering with the tie on.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is my Christy Dawn Bianca dress! I love this housedress that is made from dead stock fabric. This cotton summer dress is light and works perfectly on hot days.

    | Christy Dawn Bianca

Bianca! This @christydawn dress was the perfect thing to wear for my very busy day today. I love a lot of Christy Dawn’s styles but I wait for the perfect fabric and as soon as I saw this on their model @alanacloudrobinson I knew I had to have it. The stunning photos showcased the structure of the cotton fabric as well as the very pretty minty blue. I was sold.

When I got the dress I marveled at the design of the sleeve. It’s a ¾ length puff sleeve with a cuff that is slightly longer in the back where your elbow is and shorter in the front which allows it to bend with your arm movements. Magic! This makes the sleeve so comfortable as well as pretty.

I love the square neckline – something I’ve been attracted more to this summer. This shape along with the colour accentuates even the slightest tan you may have which is very flattering. I love the a-line shape of this dress and wear it often without the tie. The ruffle hem is lovely and is substantial enough to allow for an inch or so alteration without losing the proportion of the design. Overall this is a really lovely style of dress to wear around the house. I love the fabrics they’re designing this in, including some linens that are available.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is my Dôen Kami tank worn with old Zara jeans. This simple top has so many amazing details like the floral print. I love this summer outfit.

    | Dôen Kami Tank

Kami! This is a special piece. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt so pretty in a tank top. This @shopdoen tee has so many sweet details including the scalloped neckline and straps. The print is my ideal pattern: pretty flowers that feel classic. And it’s all sweetened with a tiny bow front and center. I feel like this is such an easy piece to throw on in a hurry especially if you don’t often wear jewelry. This makes any outfit complete.

I love how this looks styled with just a pair of jeans! It would look equally good paired with jeans shorts. It also pairs perfectly with skirts making it a really versatile piece. I can’t wait to layer it with my favourite cardigans in the fall and winter.

I got this tank in a large because the measurements online are quite small. The listing says it is “clingy but stretches” and I think that’s a good way to put it. The top will relax as you wear it and it made me realize I should’ve gotten a medium. It does depend on how you wear it- I like the body a bit loose. This also comes in a golden version which is currently in my cart 🙈

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is my Dôen Grasse dress! I love this boho style dress with the dark floral print. It is a lovely summer dress.

    | Dôen Grasse Dress

Grasse! This dress is very special to me because it’s from one of @shopdoen’s very first collections (Summer 2016). When I first fell in love with the brand I poured myself into their journal and older collections and fell head over heels for this gorgeous dress. I was so lucky to find it secondhand and I’m very happy to have something that was part of the birth of my favourite brand.

This dress has a unique button trimmed neckline that functions to shorten or open the neckline. It has an empire waist and a drop waist drawstring for the option of cinching it in. I love the knee-length full tiered skirt that is slightly lower at the back. One of my favourite features of any clothing is a voluminous sleeve and this one has an elastic cuff to easily pull it back and change the look.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is my Innika Choo Iva Biigdres Dress! This scallop dress is a very special summer outfit. I love the frills and details.

    | Innika Choo Iva Biigdres

Iva Biigdres! I’m wearing this scallop dress in honour of  @innikachoo opening up preorders for it again! This dress is very fun to wear and is possibly the best dress in the world to twirl in. I adore the colour which is called “makeup”. It’s the perfect pink.

The scallop edge of the frills and volume are my favourite part. The edges of the scallops are finished with embroidery and very scallop has tiny embroidered flower on it. I love and appreciate all the detail that Innika puts into her dresses.

This dress is very feminine and comfy. I love wearing it without the tie for a casual look and with the tie to change up the silhouette. I love how Innika gives us many different options to style her designs!

I am wearing a size 1 and also have a size zero and the biggest different is volume and length. I recently trimmed off an entire layer of frills on this dress to make it a bit more wearable but I don’t have to do that with my size 0 version. I released the elastic that held the bust open.(I have an Innika Choo hail video on my YouTube (google Kait Bos) where I show more about this.) The straps on this dress are adjustable via buttonholes.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is my Lovisa Dress and nightgown! This daywear and sleepwear dress in 1 is one of my favourite summer dresses to wear!

    | Dôen Lovisa Dress/Nightgown

Lovisa! This is my go-to dress on tired days. I almost always wear this @shopdoen on Mondays and usually, like today, I switch from sleeping in my white lovisa nightgown to wearing this plaid one for the day. It’s probably my favourite item from Doen ever. I love this style of dress and nightgown because it’s loose and comfortable but the embroidery at the neck and frill sleeve make it flattering. Long nightgowns are my favourite for cool mornings and an elastic neck ensures that nothing is pulling uncomfortably as I sleep.

Plaid is one of my favourite patterns for summer. I find it definitely suits our cottage season up here and I love a pattern for busy days full of swimming, bbq-ing, and chasing kids outside. The embroidered neck really makes this dress special. I love the unique look and it functions with the elastic making it an easy dress to breastfeed in.
