    Hi!

I have just started a new instagram account called Kait Bos Edit where I’ll be posting my daily outfits. I’ve been wanting to post more about fashion but I’m limited in time and photography skills so I decided to start a mirror selfie-type account. Follow me there if you’re on social media or see my weekly round-up below!

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is my Doen Odessa Dress. It's one of my favourite summer dresses to wear right now.

    | Dôen Odessa Dress

This is the blue Odessa dress from @shopdoen and I just adore it. From the minute I put it on I knew I would wear it a lot because it’s so comfortable. The Odessa style actually started out as a nightgown so you can imagine how nice it is to wear. I love wearing light poplin when it’s really hot out- it’s been a steady 35C here (95F) so I’ve been reaching for this a lot. My love for short poplin dresses started last summer with Dôen’s Willa dress which I wore all summer after I had my baby. I ordered this and the Meadow dress which you will also see here a lot because it’s just as wearable.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Sèzane Aure dress I purchased during the Sèzane Archive Sale. It is a beautiful silk summer dress that is perfect for patio date nights and great as a wedding guest dress too!

    | Sèzane Aure Dress

Review@Sezane Aure! I’ve admired this dress for a while so it was great to finally grab it in the archive sale! Sad news: it’s too small. This is a FR38 and the listing says to go up a size (did that!) but I think two sizes is better advice. I’m trying to keep my arms/shoulders/boobs in to take a nice photo of this but it’s too small to give high fives so it’s on it’s way back. The yellow colour and gold are stunning and I would consider getting another style like the adelie in this fabric because gold is irresistible (especially on low-light date nights!) My favourite version of this dress is the white with blue flowers version of this better but it’s viscose which is too hot for me to wear.

*currently out of stock but returns are restocked on Wednesday mornings <3

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Sèzane Adelie top I purchased during the Sèzane Archive Sale. It is a beautiful silk one-shoulder brand from my favourite Parisian brand.

    | Sèzane Adelie Top

Review: Review: @Sezane Adelie top! This is one of three items I got in the archive sale and the only one I’m keeping! The adelie is silk and oh so beautiful. It comes in a range of beautiful prints but I fell in love with the classic white and the detail of the lace-trimmed ruffle. White is one of the few solid colours I enjoy wearing because I think it’s timeless. It’s slightly sheer but the ruffle covers anything you’d want to hide anyway 😉

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Sèzane Astrid skirt I purchased during the Sèzane Archive Sale. It is a beautiful cotton and sequin skirt that can be dressed up for down.

    | Sèzane Astrid Skirt

Review @sezane Astrid Skirt! This was one of my white whales. It’s a skirt I’ve admired since they released it but I was too afraid to try. I also loved it on @thefrugality who looks killer in it. Sadly it doesn’t work for me. We always encourage our kids to reply with, “I’m glad I tried it, but no thank-you” when they try something they don’t like and that’s how I feel about this skirt. I wavered on returning it b/c I think it’s stunning (and the romantic in me wanted to save it for the girls) but it doesn’t work for me so back it goes!

*Currently out of stock but Sezane does restocks of archives almost every morning and normally early Wednesday mornings

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Doen Arbor dress. It is a beautiful cotton plaid summer dress with a smocked bodice and trimmed with ruffles.

    | Dôen Arbor Dress

Review: @shopdoen Arbor dress! I fell in love with this plaid fabric as soon as Dôen released it. I fell more in love when I got my hands on the fabric. I tried the Cadiz dress, Lodge nightgown, Sahara top AND Jane top because I was trying to find the perfect piece for me and I only kept the tops. I really wanted a dress in this fabric so I waited for my preorder. SAD NEWS: It’s too big! I tried it on a few times hoping it would’ve magically shrunk but this pretty dress is on it’s way back. I’m still on the fence if I’ll try a smaller size because I don’t find the length of the waist flattering on me but I do think it’s gorgeous.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Innika Choo Meg Nettick dress. I bought it during the Innika Choo sale called ISO. It is a beautiful embroidered cotton summer dress that's perfect for any wedding!

    | Innika Choo Meg Nettick dress

Meg Nettick! This is one of my all time favourite dresses. It’s from Innika Choo and it is heaven (I own it in the army colour too). It’s gorgeous, easy to wear, and versatile which makes me reach for it over and over. Innika has this amazing ability to make a dress that is both stunning and casual. She does that by making a lot of her clothes adjustable, and in flowing, loose styles but with details and fabric that make it special and add femininity. The neckline is adjustable and can be worn open (there’s 3 functional buttons) making it breastfeeding friendly. The wide tie (so flattering) is optional and can completely change the shape. It’s not lined but if you wear a nude bra it’s not a problem IMO. And can we talk about the colour? It’s called makeup! I could gush about this dress FOREVER!

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Doen Poet dress. I bought it during a Doen Sale! Doen had a Mother's day sale and I was lucky to grab this dream. It is a beautiful floral cotton summer maxi dress.

    | Dôen Poet Dress

My Poet 🌸 I’ve always really loved this style from @shopdoen. They have many variations: the Henri top, Piper and Roan short dresses and this Poet. Admittedly I’ve owned all of them at one point 😂 so I’m a really big fan of the style. I got this dress during their latest sale and I was so happy because I’ve always liked it. The print is called, “black poppy” a flower pattern I’m addicted to because of my daughter, Poppy.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Faithfull the brand Cherie dress. It is a linen dream and the perfect beach coverup. I love the sweet details like the puff sleeve and the smocked neckline.

    | Faithfull the Brand Cherie Dress

I initially bought this beach coverup for our spring vacation to Florida but we all know how that turned out 💔 We are praying for everyone down there right now.

I’m glad I could finally wear this here because I think it is so pretty and a nice upgrade from my usual coverups which are long men’s shirts. I want to find a great strapless bathing suit to wear under this so let me know if you have any suggestions!

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Dôen Meadow dress from the Summer Collection. It's the perfect summer dress made of poplin cotton, with puffed sleeves and pockets. I love this casual summer dress.

    | Dôen Meadow Dress

Meadow 🍄 This dress and my @shopdoen Odessa in my first post have been my best buys this summer. We are in a heatwave and these dresses keep me comfortable and are just plain cute. I absolutely adore the sleeve and the pockets of this dress. The sleeve is puffier than I expected but I think that makes the classic shape and style more fashion forward. The print is one of my favourite parts. It’s whimsical with tiny flowers, butterflies and mushrooms and feels like it’s from a vintage children’s storybook.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Dôen Piper dress. It's the perfect summer dress made of ramie, with puffed sleeves and drips with frills. I love this classic white summer dress.

    | Dôen Piper Dress

Piper! In all it’s wrinkly glory! 😂 It’s this dress and the sparrow top which has made me a big fan of the Ramie fabric. I actually traded for this dress which was the first time I’ve ever tried anything like that. I used to have the green floral roan which is this style but without the lace trim. Last year I threw it out there that I would love to trade it for the white paper and this lovely woman from NYC was up for it! How fun! I’m so happy I have this piece in my collection because I feel like it is one of their true classics. I think the vertical ruffle, puff sleeves, and shape of the dress is very flattering. The loose fit makes it very easy to wear especially on hot days.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Dôen Jane top worn with Aritzia Harulia short and Birkenstock Arizona Sandals in Rose. This is a very comfy and casual outfit idea with my favourite colour palette: pink and brown

    | Dôen Jane Top in Austen Plaid

Happy Dôen Day! 😂 In honour of Dôen’s Summer 2020 launch I thought I would wear my trusty Jane and confess that I got another one today 🙈. During all the sneak previews, I fell in love with the pyjama sets and particularly what looked like the Jane top with shorts. I never thought to wear my Jane as a pyjama top and was actually looking for a long sleeved sleep set so marketing this top as pj’s was brilliant. I had a really rough sleep last night and my instinct is to put on something that doubles as both day and nightwear (like my plaid lovisa, or odessa dress). So I tried a new way to wear my jane which is with the sleeves rolled up and put on some elastic-waist shorts and I was very comfortable. It really helped me through my tired moments. I’ve spoken about clothing as comfort on my other account and my blog and I think it is so worthwhile to wear clothing that FEELS good in the ways that are important to you. I appreciate being able to wear something soft, unrestrictive and pretty especially on tiring and hot days. Wearing this top all day also confirmed that buying a Jane that doubles as a pyjama top was a good idea. What do you love to wear to get you through your rougher days? And what did you get in the launch?

This is the same fabric as the arbor dress in my previous review and it’s so lovely and soft.

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Dôen Joan dress. It's the perfect summer dress made of cotton and viscose. It's a voluminous but classic shirt dress. I love this summer maxi dress paired with neutral sandals like my birkenstocks.

    | Dôen Joan Dress

Joan! I got this @shopdoen Joan dress late last summer off @doensecondhand. The original listing suggested wearing it to the farmer’s market and then to a museum with boots and I thought that they painted such a great picture of how versatile this dress could be and loved the styling idea. I was also inspired by how the Joan was styled by the fashionable women who are part of the #doencollective community including someone who wore it loose like a caftan. This dress is every bit as versatile (swipe for styling options) and I’m so happy I have it in my closet. I wanted the new Joan but I thought it was more green than brown so I’ll wait (impatiently) for another one of these great dresses. I have this dress in a size small which I love but I think an xs would be better for length. My height and measurements are below.

*I did try the joan in plaid but I thought it was overwhelming so I prefer this style in a solid colour. Which is funny because I prefer the Jane top in a pattern 🤷🏻‍♀️

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Dôen Jasmine dress. It's one of my most worn dresses from last summer and is maternity and post partum friendly. I love the smocked bodice, the gorgeous floral print and the ties at the shoulder. This is the best summer dress ever!

    | Dôen Jasmine Dress

Jasmine! This dress was a collaboration with @netaporter x @shopdoen and it is one of my favourite summer dresses. I got this last year SIX DAYS before Kit was born and I remember feeling really beautiful in it (swipe for a very pregnant me on July 9, 2019). This was such a good buy for my late pregnancy and post pregnancy body. I was comfortable, it was easy to breastfeed in and it was so lovely. I also wore this to Lux’s first ballet recital which was 3 days after he was born 😂. This dress has seen me through some times! The style is the popular formula of an empire waist, smocked bodice, maxi dress with tie straps and a straight skirt. The straps add so much to this dress that you can easily throw it on without jewelry and feel fully dressed and accessorised. If you’re looking for an easy, effortless and pretty summer dress look for something with these elements!

What I Wore this Week! I am so happy to share my outfits daily with you through my Kait Bos Edit Instagram. This is the Jade Swim Scoop Neck Top and Bound Bottom in green. Jade Swim is an amazing Black-owned brand with gorgeous swimwear designs that function well and make you feel chic. I'm in love!

    | Jade Swim Bikini

OHHHHH BOY IT IS NOT EASY TO POST A PICTURE OF YOURSELF IN A BIKINI! BUT my friends, this is a suit by @jadeswim, a lovely Black-owned business and it is so good that I have to show you. I’ll go over a lot of the details in my stories but the comfort and design of this bra top is pure magic. I’m not sure how founder, @brittfreeney, made such a comfortable and supportive design with so little material but I’m in love.

The bottoms have a little less coverage than what I’m used to but I’m embracing the new design. It’s a little high cut in the front and back so I’m pushed a little out of my comfort zone but I think that’s good to do to once in a while to stay current. I’m trying to refrain from being that person who says, “Sooo this is what the kids are wearing these days” 🧐 Wear what you love friends! ❤️
