Coordinating colours is a lot of fun for me (A LOT) and I got to do this on a recent photoshoot with Bear & Sparrow Photography. I wanted something soft to contrast with the dark trees and also to have fun with pink! Ever since I’ve had girls I’ve fallen in love with pink. I also recently decorated my tree with pink so I thought I would keep the pink Christmas theme going (my vlog where I decorated can be found here!)
To help me coordinate this photoshoot I brought everything I wanted my family to wear and placed it on the floor and then filled in the colour gaps. I got Lux a pink toque and made sure my husband wore his brown shoes. I was initially supposed to wear a pink toque as well but I decided it was a little too matchy-matchy at the last minute. I also mixed in dark colours (dark jeans, and Wes’s vest) to ground everything. Otherwise too much pastel would all look out of place in a field of trees.
Whether it’s for a photoshoot, family event or Christmas party check out the soft winter pastel colour options below along with some classic red and plaid options!*

There’s nothing more classic than red or plaid for Christmas! Adorn your family in these great options. Throw in one or two (max) other colours to prevent from being too matchy-matchy.
