“House” dresses, “day” dresses, front step cocktails, window chats, Tik Toks, and “dressing up for the living room” are all ways we are “making lemonade” during the current circumstances. I love seeing how everyone is staying positive right now!
As a stay at home mom I’ve always worn clothing for myself so I know that wearing the right thing can definitely be a mood booster. Currently I’m turning to dresses more than ever and there’s something about this time of year that makes me crave plaid. A checked dress feels very homey, casual, and friendly. I got my first plaid dress (the Remy) from Christy Dawn last summer and it’s one of my favourites to wear in warm weather.
The Lovisa dress from Dôen is the perfect stay-at-home style. This is actually a nightgown but I’ve decided to adopt it for everyday because why not? I have this style of dress in two other nightgowns so it’s definitely one of my favourite styles from Dôen. Something soft, loose but pretty is very comfortable to wear around the house – like wearing a nightgown all day. What are you wearing during this time that you enjoy?
