Dahlia! This is such a simple but pretty dress. It was a breezy day (which are my absolute fav) and it gave me a lot of joy to wear something that looks and feels so beautiful blowing in the wind. I always appreciate fabric when it’s moving so twirling and wind are great for that. Pink is my favourite colour and this dress is the most irresistible shade.
I find the wrap style very flattering and the sleeves! I think I talk about puff sleeves everyday but I just adore them. This is one of the first Dahlia’s that Christy Dawn made. It features a block print with organic dyes. The neck has a snap to stay closed and the waistband is adjustable with a drawstring. This design is based off of the Dawn dress which have different sleeves. It’s a lovely and feminine style.
Remy! I’m all about an easy house dress on a hot hot day and this @Christydawn dress is perfect for these summer heatwaves. I fell in love with this style because of the empire waist. There’s something sweet and wholesome about this silhouette. It reminds me of the dresses you see in Jane Austen movies and I welcome that vintage feeling.
The slit adds a little extra 😉 which is helpful because they always make this dress with plaid fabric and in cotton so it can have an apron vibe. I don’t own a lot of red but I think the perfect time to wear this colour is in the summer.
Meg Nettick! Yes I own a 3rd colour! Do you have multiples of items that you can’t get enough of? Jeans in different washes, blouses, or leggings? I truly just enjoy wearing this dress. It feels very casual to wear despite the fact that it’s such a unique design that’s brimming with special details. The ruffle skirt is fun to move in and I love wearing it loose like a tunic.
I have this dress in a darker pink and green and I think this might be my favourite version of it. The embroidery stands out on this dress because the cotton is slightly sheer and I love seeing that detail. Like my other two I got this one on sale and this colour is one of the last remaining ones you can find.
I got this one in a size 0 and my other ones are in a size 1. The main difference I see is in the sleeve cuff which is tighter on the smaller size and I’m able to keep the sleeve above my elbow which I prefer. The size 1 versions of this have to be tied a lot tighter to stay up. You can click on my Innika Choo hashtag below to find my other dresses!
Lucy! Another repeat outfit. We had a really busy day in a nearby town running errands and thrift shopping so I wanted to wear an easy dress and immediately reached for this beauty. I wore this dress paired with a carrier toting my son around, survived a messy sub sandwich lunch with my kids, kicked a soccer ball around with my daughter and played with my kids at the beach.
The length, silhouette and fabric make this dress enjoyable to wear. I love the colour and feminine details. It’s still on sale at Net-a-porter in a few sizes and colours if you’re looking for a great dress! The link to these are in my bio!
Pierre! I was really happy to find this dress second hand! When @shopdoen’s summer collection came out I really loved the style of the Thoreau dress– a halter-style loose dress with a tie option. It reminded me of this Pierre dress from a couple seasons ago which I always liked. I actually ordered and returned this dress for some reason and always kept a lookout for it second hand which I never found. So when I saw the Thoreau it confirmed that I still liked this style of dress a few years later. I’m unsure of the print on the Thoreau so I did what I could to try and find the Pierre. I did an ISO through @doensecondhand and to my surprise the dress was listed that same day! I was so happy to grab this dress. It’s a good day when you can find something this rare.
The blue fabric and pattern is timeless. The ruffle around the neck and arms is a very pretty and unique detail. This along with the shirring at the top bring the eye upward to showcase you. I like wearing it with the extra long tie which wraps twice and then loose after I have a big meal.
Nev Erontym & Kami! I hope you’re not sick of this style yet! 😂 This is my third Nev Erontym skirt/dress by @InnikaChoo.This is the most versatile clothing item I own and I gladly wear it as both a skirt and a dress. Today I paired it with my sweet Kami tank from @shopdoen and I think it works perfectly. I don’t wear skirts often so I’m really happy to have a flattering and pretty separate in my closet. I can’t wait to pair it with sweaters in cooler weather. Swipe to see the many MANY ways you can wear this miracle! (If you click the Innika Choo hashtag at the bottom of this post you’ll see my other versions in blue and gingham).
You’ll find this style on sale in blue, gingham and chambray at innikachoo.com and the newest versions from her Regalia collection on Garmentory.com. Innika Choo has yet to release it on her own site but I would love the upcoming blue version!
My Kami tank by Doen is my sweetest top this summer. It packs so much sweetness into such little fabric and goes with everything. I’ve posted it with jeans on here before and it dresses up the outfit so well. I know I’ll treasure this style forever.
—Pi Fürlunche! I crack up every time I say Innika Choo’s style names. (Pie for lunch is a fab idea.) This dress is one of my special finds. I first discovered Innika Choo when they released the collection this dress is from: Dot & Daisy SS19. I was obsessed with every single piece but I was unsure of ordering to Canada so I placed a couple items on my wish list and followed the brand and slowly became a big fan. I first got Innika Choo during their boxing day sale last year (December 26th) and then this year I dove deep buying a lot from the ISO sale in May. They did the sale in a few parts and this dress popped up during an inventory clean out of their Vietnam warehouse. I got this one along with Madonna Phulman. It felt like a dream come true!
This dress is in a size 3 which is one size too big so it has taken some adjustments to make it work. I’ve pinned the wrap together at the neck because it would stay too open. I’m going to make this a permanent change by adding a snap. The waist is also a little low but works well if you pull it up which gives the top half a more blouson look that you can see on me. It looks loosely “tucked in”. I plan to add a few more belt loops to the front and back to keep the seam in place.
This dress is a grey linen with grey hand-embroidered daisies- one of my favourite flowers. The embroidery is one of my favourite things about Innika Choo. She takes such care to design dresses with exquisite details.
Current Measurements: Bust 34.5”, Waist 30”, Hips 38”
