When I get my photos taken for this diary I love finding places in my area that suit what I’m wearing. The Carnation dress from Dôen is one of the most romantic pieces that I own so I knew I had to take it to someplace special- a nearby castle. I almost named this post, “How to Look Like you’re in a Jane Austen Movie” because it reminds me so much of what Jane Austen’s characters wear. While I love this setting for the carnation dress it has suited many other occasions I’ve worn it to including a few date nights, an anniversary dinner and a BBQ. This dress is romantic and vintage-inspired but also comfortable and casual and that makes it a favourite.
